La Sagrada Familia, bacelona, spain

History
La Sagrada Familia Sagrada Familia or the Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Familia was begun in 1882 by public subscription. A year later Gaudí became director of the project, a post he would hold for more than 40 years until his death in 1926. After the completion of Parc Güell in 1911, he vowed that his architecture would not be devoted to secular aims. His commitment to this project is indicated as well by the fact that he lived in a studio on the site. "He was assisted by architects Berenguer, Rubió, Jujol, Canaleta and Ràfols, and in the last stage, by Sugrañes and Quintana; these last continued with the work after his death in 1926, until the towers of the Nativity facade were completed. After the Civil War, progress continued under Quintana, Puig i Boada and Bonet Garí, with the help of Bergós, Martinell and Dapena. In most recent decades, it has been Cardoner and Bonet Armengol assisted by architects Margarit, Buixadé and Gómez" (Carandell 87).

Work continued on the church based on Gaudí's general plan and studies. Unlike many churches, it survived during the Spanish Civil War, when many churches were burned; it was and is seen as a kind of symbol for the city of Barcelona. Although it is not the cathedral of Barcelona (which dates from the 13th century), it is sometimes called Barcelona's third cathedral. It is still unfinished today (note the cranes and scaffolding in various photographs below) and it is anybody's guess when it will be completed. It is a combination of Modernista elements and a unique version of the Gothic style--seen primarily in its height, use of rose windows and arches, triple portals, and architectural sculpture.

Casa Mila, Bacelona 4days &night trip

Casa Milà or La Pedrera
We took a railway to go Casa Mila for saving time. A train's ticket is cost 1.2 euro per a penson. one day trip is 5 euro.

This map doesn't showed English printed word at all. always Spanish. I wonder English can be used In europe. but I was wrong.

This railway is similar Taipei's MRT that easy and convenient going every scenery you want, such as a building Casa Mila is nearby.

Direction 2 o'clock you can see this building after come out the TMB, Transports Metropolitanns de Barcelona. then, the Casa Mila will appears in you eyes Carrer de Provença and Passeig de Gràcia of junction.

Casa Milà or La Pedrera Situated on an asymmetrical corner lot, this large apartment building was immediately dubbed "la pedrera," or "the quarry," because of its cliff-like walls. Various theories have been advanced as to the source of Gaudí's inspiration: from ocean waves to a variety of specific mountains, even a mountain crest with clouds. Regardless of the springs of creation, this limestone building seems sculptural, with contrasts between curves, concavities, and voids, with pale stone contrasting with dark iron. The wrought-iron balconies were the design of Josep Maria Jujol, Gaudí's frequent collaborator. Each is different and was improvised in the forge.

too crowed there, normaly the queue would wait for 2 hours loung. in the time I eager to visit interior view and begged Stephen stay the queue. However, He disagree with me. he told me if we do so, we won't have time to see another buildings. ...Orz poor me.

then, Stephen sought another way for approach this building. then, he saw one of souvenir shop can see some interior view of Casa Mila. so, we are going to visit inside shop then take some photos and buy something I need.

Parc Güell of barcelona-4 days and night trip

Parc Güell was commissioned by Eusebi Güell who wanted to create a stylish park for Barcelona aristocracy.

Guell park contains amazing stone structures (see below), stunning tiling and fascinating buildings. You can see from this picture the Gaudi dragon fountain that is at the entrance to Guell park. This dragon is adorned in beautiful coloured tiling and there is something rather hypnotic and magical about it.

Those pigeons enjoy a bath in front of dragon fountain.

In Park Guell where I stood underneath of canopy that look like as human spine. My eyes a bit tearful because I dont even think about I'm here and to touch these stone then let kind of atmosphere around me. the sense of feeling made me think how great work he did. It’s really incredible to see his work. I won't regret in my rest of life. I admire him. Thanks Stephen recommands me to visit this site also. It's brilliant ideal.

The weather is very nice around 13 degree unlike holland's weather 1 to 8 degree.
Outside Casa Musume of Gaudi I dont like pink for the reason of documentary I gave up my opinion.
